PREVIEW:

Manchester United are breathing down the necks of Manchester City as we go into the busy festive period. The gap stands at 2 points after both teams wiining over the weekend.
The United squad has been stretched this season with loads of injuries. With the busy festive period approaching, United will welcome some key players back. The likes of Cleverly, Anderson, Berbatov and the Da Silva twins could all be in contention during the festive period.
Wayne Rooney will be looking to continue his impressive form after scoring his 12th league goal this season. The English forward could start upfront with Hernandez who came on as a sub against QPR after missing a few games due to injury.
Manchester United will travel to Craven Cottage. The Cottager’s recorded a 2-0 win over Bolton on the weekend.
United have a good away record this season. This is in contrast to last season, when United had a dismal away record. Manchester United have won their last four Premier League away matches, all without conceding a goal.
Carrick and Jones could once again start in midfield after an impressive performance against QPR. Carrick’s form could be the key to United’s performance.
