Its back to the Premier League this weekend as Manchester United will face Newcastle United on Saturday.
Manchester United come of a disappointing result in the Champions League with a 2-2 draw against Benfica. There will be no room for any such slip ups this weekend as United go into this match 5 points behind City.
City though have a tough match against Liverpool and their confidence will be a bit low after the Champions League loss to Napoli .
United run of clean sheets came to an end after conceding 2 goals against Benfica. An own goal from Jones and mistake from David De Gea led to the two goals.
Good news is that Wayne Rooney should be fit for Saturday. Rooney has scored nine goals in twelve games against the Magpies. However Anderson is ruled out until February with a knee injury adding to Sir Alex’s midfield woes.
United have never lost to Newcastle at Old Trafford. United have had a very strange month. They haven’t played any exceptional football but have got the results they wanted. Lots of injuries to key players and changing squad have added to their woes. But United will want to put all those things behind and concentrate on getting all three points on Saturday.
