PREVIEW :
Swansea City has had a good start to the season with an impressive home form, which will be tested this weekend with the champions Manchester United making the trip to the Liberty Stadium. The Swans had an impressive last game when they held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.
Manchester United have had a funny season so far with a 8-2 drubbing of Arsenal followed by a 6-1 defeat to Manchester City later in the season. But they seem to have put the defeat to City behind them and have won four consecutive games since then.
However it is the performances that would have concerned Sir Alex Ferguson. The last two league games have not been convincing. United won both games with just a solitary goal. United are expected to defeat Swansea and the boys will be happy with nothing less than 3 points on Saturday.
The game after the International round of matches is always a tough one for the top teams as the major players are involved and there would be a lot of travelling. Sir Alex could miss the services of Danny Welbeck who was withdrawn from the International friendly against Sweden due to a muscle strain which he suffered in the match against Spain. Ashley Young could return however it is doubtful whether he will start.
United will also be without Cleverley, Smalling, Owen and Rafael, while Anderson and Giggs also remain doubtful starters. With injuries in mid field, United have had a new Mid Fielder in the name of Wayne Rooney in the last few games. Although he has done well in the middle for United, he would be preferred to play upfront where he is at his best.
United would want to get all three points this weekend and will be hoping City drop points against Newcastle United. Both teams go into this weekend unbeaten.
